Hayley’s Little Explorers uses the Montessori Method of early years education alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Montessori is a child-centred approach, it’s primary aim is to foster a safe, happy, caring environment in which each child can learn and develop freely at their own individual pace, following their interests and inclinations.

At the core of the method is a carefully prepared environment in which children can choose activities that they would like to explore further on their own or with a group of friends.

We work with each child individually, showing them how the activity is completed, observing their work and individually introducing new challenges when they are ready for them.

At all times we are careful to encourage freedom of choice and expression. Gradually the children reveal qualities for which they are not usually given credit, such as intense concentration, surprising attention span, a sense or order, self-discipline and respect for others and their environment.
